Once upon a time, an insatiably curious little girl in pigtails realized that the best parts of preschool were music time and art time.

Many days Regina returned home from school with paint on her clothes and blisters on the pads of her fingers (more autoharp!).

As she grew, creating was Regina’s safe harbor and treasured pastime.

While her formal studies have been in the field of music, Regina always found a way to keep her love of visual art as a sidekick of sorts.

Now (mostly, and begrudgingly) grown up, Regina continues in her dual pursuits. In 2015, a life shift allowed her space to engage with visual art in a more deliberate and consistent way.

Regina works primarily as a mixed-media artist, shifting between collage, painting, encaustic, assemblage, printmaking and more. Riddled with a severe case of wanderlust, her travels serve as inspiration for her art, together with jaunts to flea markets and rummage sales for vintage finds. Regina is intrigued with symbols and patterns of many kinds, and experiences a visceral reaction to bold and complex color combinations. She also enjoys folding a bit of humor into her work now and then.
